MTCNA outline – MikroTik Certified Network Associate

MTCNA course – MikroTik Certified Network Associate.
Prerequisites: The student must have basic understanding of TCP/IP networking. Price for training is 300 Euro for 2 days.

This 2 day training consists of 6 modules. Each module has ow theoretical part and lab. After finishing this training you will be able to configure, build and manage network based on Mikrotik RouterOS and provide basic services to customers.

Day 1
Module 1 – Introduction, basic routing and bridging

  • Managing RouterOS, backups, upgrades, packages
  • RouterOS command line interface (CLI) and CLI principles
  • Basic configuration
  • Lab with basic setup of RouterOS

Module 2 – Routing, Bridging and Network management

  • Routing and IP networking overview
  • Static routing
  • Bridging and switching overview
  • Bridge concepts, Spanning tree
  • ARP
  • DHCP package
  • RouterOS management tools
  • Module 2 complex LAB

Module 3 – Wireless

  • 802.11n Concepts
  • MikroTik wireless protocols and TDMA
  • Monitoring Tools
  • Wireless Security,Encryption
  • Managing access to WISP network
  • Wireless LAB

Day 2
Module 4 – Firewall

  • Types of Firewall, Mikrotik Firewall features
  • Firewall Filter in action
  • Address-Lists and different types of NAT
  • Firewall LAB

Module 5 – QoS and Queues

  • Simple Queues in RouterOS 6.x
  • Queueing for whole network with PCQ
  • Monitoring
  • QoS LAB

Module 6 – Tunnels

  • Tunnel types – PPPoE, PPPTP, EOIP, SSTP, SSL
  • IPSEC introduction
  • Tunneling LAB
