It is a one day course which consists of 3 main modules.
Module 1 – Static routing

- Equal cost multipath on practice
- Gateway reachability check and route distance
- Routing mark and policy based routing
- Recursive next-hops, scope and target-scope usage
- Complex LAB for static routing
Module 2 – VPN
- Different types of VPN
- Site to site connectivity with tunnels (PPPoE, EoIP, IPIP, PPTP, SSTP, L2TP)
- IPSEC setups
- VLAN theory and VLANs on practice
- QinQ implementation
- VLANs on managed switch
- VLANs on switch chip on RouterBoards
- VLANs and tunnels LAB
Module 3 – OSPF dynamic routing
- Theoretical background of OSPF (Hellos, Database distribution, LSA types)
- OSPF network structure (Areas, Router types)
- OSPF neighbors and neighbor states (DR and BDR election)
- Lab for basic OSPF
- External Route Distribution methods (type1, type2)
- Interface cost and interface types (broadcast, NBMA, etc.)
- Lab for path manipulation
- SPT calculation algorithm
- OSPF and multicast
- Stub, NSSA and area ranges (route aggregation)
- Virtual links usage
- routing filters in OSPF
- OSPF area lab
